Finding the right person to take care of your children is a difficult and time-consuming task. First-Choice Sitters is owned and operated by myself, a professional sitter. Throughout my experience as a sitter, I continued to hear how difficult it was for clients to find good childcare. With these clients in mind, I decided to create a service that will provide solutions to these childcare problems!

First-Choice Sitters is a sitting referral service. Prospective clients will pay First Choice Sitters a one-time fee for processing. In addition, a flat nominal fee will be accessed in order to cover the cost of locating the sitter, completing a criminal background check, conducting a comprehensive interview, and scheduling the sitting services. Referral fees are to be paid to First Choice Sitters and each client will receive a monthly invoice of the services they have requested. Sitters are to be paid directly by the client in cash or by personal check at the conclusion of the set time.

First-Choice Sitters is an excellent service for all parents seeking childcare, whether it be for an occasional night out, permanent part-time help, full-time help, wedding events, infant care, overnights, or whatever you need! You can rest assured that First-Choice Sitters will provide you with the best childcare provider to suit your needs.

The standards for First Choice Sitters are exceptional. All sitters must be at least 18 years of age. All sitters are also required to be CPR and First Aid trained. The interviewing process is extensive and includes a background and criminal record check. Each sitter must provide several childcare references, information about previous childcare-related jobs, and previous job and character references. During the interview, sitters will also be asked a series of questions pertaining to children, and given specific hypothetical circumstances and will be asked how they would handle each situation.

First-Choice Sitters employs professional nannies, preschool/daycare workers, college students majoring in education and/or early childhood development, teachers, nurses, grandmothers, and many other qualified, dependable, trustworthy and loving people. At your request you are more than welcome to meet with your sitter beforehand. You will be provided a dossier/portfolio of each sitter you receive, which will contain information about the sitter, previous childcare experience and a brief explanation of their references and background check. In addition, we have now added photographs to many of the dossier's so you will now have the opportunity to see your sitter before she arrives!  For a more permanent sitter/nanny clients themselves are given the option to interview each sitter personally before choosing a particular caregiver.
